Parent Education

Minnesota Families United's Parent Education Program equips parents with the practical skills to build safe, stable, and nurturing homes where children can thrive. Our multigenerational curriculum is individualized to each family's circumstances and addresses the areas that matter most for lasting change: child development, the impact of trauma, effective communication, positive redirection, and behavior management.

 

Built around your requirements
We customize programming to meet the exact number of hours a client must complete, whether mandated by a court order, Child Protection Services, or a case plan. Sessions are available for individuals or small groups and can be delivered as standalone education or integrated with supervised visits.

 

Documentation you can rely on
After every session, the supervisor provides a written summary of the topic covered. For clients enrolled in both parent education and supervised visits, supervisors monitor progress and report on how parents are applying their skills with their children.

 

A coordinated approach
We work in close partnership with case managers, social service agencies, and other professionals on each case, ensuring families receive consistent, well-coordinated support toward their goals.
